Hey Permission to Land.... if you have a chance, check out the 1989 HB-60 which is for sale right now on ebay.  The seller got it new in 1989.  Its most definitely MIJ based on the wood working on the neck as well as the tuners which are marked Japan. ...

Good point.  They are running out of flagship models to hang their hat on in their line.  In addition, the perception is that the Chinese made quality of Washburn guitars is a step down from Korean and especially Japanese is not helping things.  The US...

Not a "Washie" but an interesting 80s Lotus copy of a Washburn Wing on ebay.  Lotus did that a lot back in those days.  Seems like a high quality copy

This is a 1981 HB-35.  It needed a bit of TLC such as a truss cover and 3 knobs.  The nut was worn down so I replaced it with a brass nut.   Since the saddles of the Harmonic Lock bridge are also brass, there is now brass on both ends of the string. It...

It is possible that I might have been wrong but you have to remember that the Yamaki builds only lasted for s it the old slot ao long before they moved from Japan and because of the obvious Yamaki features well it has to have been built and also the si...

May have found a missing link.  Check out this 1989 HB-60 vs. "late 80s" Barrington BGW-200, which was supposedly made by Terada in Japan.

These guitars are so similar, it seems that both were made in the same factory

I just bought a new Washburn HD20SCE. It came very well set up and is flawlessly built. I first saw it at Musikmesse 2016 in Frankfurt and it convinced me straight away. So, yes, what more can I say. I like it!

Greetings all,
I recently purchased an D10CE off of Craigslist and found that when I plugged into the 1/4 jack no sound came out of the amp but the tuner would function properly. I purchased a XLR cable and that jack seems to be working properly so I'...
